Trump in Bemidji

On Friday September 18, 2020, President Donald J. Trump visited Bemidji MN. Instead of calling it a rally, President Trump called it a “friendly protest”. Calling it a “friendly protest” was the only way we could gather and not have to wear masks or limit the number of people able to attend.

Air Force One brought President Trump in at the Bemidji Airport, and the Secret Service accompanied him throughout the “friendly protest”. There were also many highway patrolmen and cops present, from as far as Anoka county and Ramsey county.

There were at least 2,500 people present. Well surpassing the 250 person limit the state of Minnesota has currently in practice.

The “friendly protest” started at 6 p.m and ended around 8 p.m. Listening to it on the radio and talking with different people, there was a lot of chanting and yelling; everyone was cheering for President Trump!

When Trump arrived, they played the song “Proud To Be An American” as he was coming on stage to the podium. President Trump's sprawling speech lasted around one hour and forty five minutes. He talked about how he convinced the Big 10 to start again, and said that the Gophers better do good this year!

It was really neat, because no president has ever been this far north in Minnesota.
