Peer Helping- Students Helping Students

The Grygla Chargers have a very remarkable club called Peer Helpers. This club is composed of students who join with the purpose of trying to help other students who are in need. Being in need of a Peer Helper can look like needing help with homework sometimes, or just being there for emotional support.

Our Peer Helpers try their best to help those who may be struggling more than others. Even though Peer Helpers are there for support and help, that doesn’t stop them from planning fun activities. With the activities that Peer Helpers plan, the ultimate goal is to keep it simple and fun! After the students are done with their homework, the group could go outside, play in the gym, do puzzles, color, or many other fun activities!

Personally, I joined this club hoping to help others. It's a very fun club to participate in, and if you are looking for something like this, you should join!

Peer Buddies are what we call the elementary kids that we pair up with. Our Peer Buddies always look forward to meeting with us. They might be shy at first, but the more you communicate with them, the better the next meet will be.

Peer Helpers, to me, is one of the most important clubs that we have at Grygla School, so many good things come out of each activity! If you have any creative ideas on new things we can do this year, let one of Peer Helpers know!

Stay tuned for more information in the upcoming weeks!
